What is the SwopBand App, and do I need it?

The SwopBand App is your digital space, a personal corner of the internet uniquely shaped by you. Bring together your links, social profiles, passions, and projects, all in one beautifully simple hub.

You need the SwopBand app to use your ring. It is where you shape what you share and connect to the device. Once your profile is ready, your ring brings it to life with one tap, opening on their phone instantly, no setup, no hassle.

How it works

How does the SwopBand Ring work?

With a simple tap, SwopBand opens your digital world on their phone, instantly and effortlessly, right in their browser, with no apps, downloads, or setup required. The tech does the work, so you can stay present in the moment. If your new connection already has the SwopBand App, your profile natively opens in their app and also saves your profile under their “Connections” tab.

Does the receiver need a SwopBand app and ring?

No, they don’t need an app or a ring. One tap of your ring opens your digital profile in their browser, instantly. However, for an enriched experience, we recommend they download the app to quickly access your profile under their “Connections” tab.

Can I share my URL with anyone online?

Yes. Your Swop profile has a unique URL that you can share anywhere. From social media to email signatures. It’s your digital space to shape, designed to be as open or as private as you choose.

Can I update my profile anytime?

Absolutely, your Swop profile evolves with you. Update links, add projects, or refresh your look anytime, and it goes live instantly. SwopBand ensures anyone you meet sees the most authentic, up-to-date version of you.

Does the receiver need to turn on their NFC?

Yes, in order for the ring to be recognized by the receiver's device, the NFC settings in their phone must be enabled. This can be adjusted in their device settings. Modern phones typically have NFC settings turned on by default.

Do I need to charge my ring?

No, your SwopBand Ring requires no charging, ever!  It’s powered passively, meaning it’s always ready when you are. You don’t have to think about batteries, cables, or downtime,

Troubleshooting

My profile is not opening when I Swop

If your profile isn’t opening when you Swop, check that your SwopBand Ring is linked to your account in the app. A quick refresh or re-pair usually fixes it in seconds. If you still need additional support, send feedback directly from your app or connect with us on the website.

I have to tap my ring multiple times before my Swop profile opens

Every phone has its own sweet spot (or as we call it, Swop Spot). For example, on an iPhone, you should tap your SwopBand on the spot located on the back, near the top, around the camera area. On most Android phones, you can tap the back, either in the middle or slightly higher, though the exact position can vary by manufacturer.

Will you be adding biometrics to the ring?

SwopBand is designed with simplicity and privacy at its core. Currently, we are focused on perfecting connection, keeping it quick, personal, and entirely in your control. As we evolve, we’ll continue exploring thoughtful ways to enhance SwopBand’s capabilities, always guided by what makes connection feel human, not complicated.

Will  SwopBand be available in additional designs and styles?

Our first design, The Origin Series, is crafted in a sleek, premium black ceramic,  timeless, durable, and quietly bold. Stay tuned for additional colors and materials coming soon!

Is my data secure

Yes - your privacy and security are central to how SwopBand is built. Our company complies with regulations like GDPR, builds systems with a "privacy-first" architecture, and allows you to control exactly what information you share and with whom.

What happens if I lose my SwopBand?

If you lose your SwopBand Ring, you can instantly deactivate it in the app to keep your profile secure. Then, simply pair a new ring to your account.

Do you ship internationally

Yes - SwopBand is built for a global community, and we ship worldwide, so anyone, anywhere, can step into a new way of connecting. Currently, we are limited to the UK, the  USA, and Canada. We appreciate your patience as we work to expand sales to your region.

What is your returns policy?

We want you to love your SwopBand. If you’re not completely satisfied, you can return it (damage-free) in its original box and packaging within 30 days for a full refund. To start a refund, send us a direct message from our website or email us at swopband@gmail.com.

Can I exchange my ring for a different size?

Of course. We want your SwopBand to fit perfectly. If your ring isn’t quite the right size, you can exchange it easily within 30 days of receiving it. Simply contact our support team or follow the exchange steps on our website, and we’ll help you find your ideal fit.
